Staci Atkins, M.S.W.
Staci Atkins, MSW, is a Psychiatric Social Worker for the Department of Mental Health at West Central Mental Health in South Los Angeles. Ms. Atkins is also a Triage team leader and liaison at West Central. She oversees members of the triage team to make sure clients are being seen in a timely manner and ensuring that needs of clients are being met. She facilitates the process of clients accessing mental health services; making sure that clients are being signed in for the appropriate services. Ms. Atkins monitors assessments, disposition screening and case management. Ms. Atkins concurrently works as an Adjunct Professor at Southwest Community College in the Department of Psychology. She is currently teaching Life Span Psychology, which explores the human development on a biosocial, cognitive and psychosocial level. She also teaches Introduction to Drug and Alcohol Studies which explores addiction; theoretical perspectives of its causes, treatment, prevention and intervention. Ms. Atkins received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California.
